Comfort Asoogo

Comfort Asoogo, Oncology Nurse Specialist and a Fellow of Ghana College, currently working at Paediatric Oncology Unit at the Child Health Directorate of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. She has completed her fellowship program with the Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives.  She also holds a Master of Science degree in nursing from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, a Bachelor of Science degree in Oncology Nursing from Cape Peninsula University of Technology South Africa, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing Administration from Cape Peninsula University of Technology South Africa. She also obtained a Paediatric Oncology Nursing Associate Certificate from the Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives, Diploma in General Nursing from Kumasi Nurses and Midwifery Training College and a Certificate in Community Health Nursing from Tamale Community Health Nursing Training College, a Certificate in introduction to Epidemiology and Monitoring and Evaluation from University of Washington. In addition, she is a full Member of the International Union on Cancer Control (UICC), African Organization for Research and Training in Cancer (AORTIC), Oncology Nursing Society (ONS), International Society for Paediatric Oncology (SIOP), Advance Breast Cancer (ABC) Global Alliance, an executive member and the nurse lead of Childhood Cancer Society of Ghana and lastly the nurse lead of WHO Global Initiative on Childhood Cancer in Ghana. 

 

Ms. Dzigbodi Kpikpitse

Ms. Dzigbodi Kpikpitse is a highly qualified professional with a strong academic and clinical background in nursing, psychology, and mental health. She holds an MPhil in Psychology (1999) and a BA (Hons) in Nursing with Sociology (1987) from the prestigious University of Ghana, Legon. Her foundational training includes certifications as a State Registered Nurse (1988) and a Registered Mental Nurse (1989), reflecting her deep expertise in both general and mental healthcare. Currently, Ms. Kpikpitse serves as a Lecturer at the Ghana College for Nurses and Midwives, where she shares her knowledge and experience with the next generation of healthcare professionals. Her multidisciplinary education—combining nursing, sociology, and psychology—equips her with a unique perspective on patient care, mental health advocacy, and medical education. With decades of dedication to the field, Ms. Kpikpitse exemplifies a commitment to excellence in healthcare training and practice. Her work continues to impact the nursing and midwifery community in Ghana, fostering skills and compassion in future practitioners.
